Late May Fishing Report
Water temperature is now up to 57.5 degrees. The last 3 days have been really good fishing.
The Crappie bite seems to be in full swing now. I’m seeing eggs in some of the fish that are being cleaned. Along with minnows, crawlers have also been good for Crappie.
Bass. Each day I’m hearing more and more about large bass being caught. Saunders Bay has been really good. Still working really well with a hook and a leech. Also, soft plastics are starting to work better.
Bluegill. Seen several nice Bluegill come in the last 2 days. The warmer water temps are increasing the activity of the Bluegill. Use a worm on a small jig.
Pike are everywhere and especially aggressive with spoons. The best colors have been chartreuse and yellow with red spots.
